Server-side Spam & Virus Protection
ShadowOffice employs sophisticated anti-spam, anti-viral and anti-phishing techniques. System-level filtering tools include real-time blackhole list lookups, header inspection, relay blocking and heuristics.

Server-side virus scans are performed on each message prior to delivery to your inbox. The system attempts to clean viruses (e.g. Trojan horse) before placing the message in your account. New threats are countered by hourly updates to the system's virus definitions.

At your inbox level, you can also maintain "safe" and "block"
lists for additional protection in identifying good and bad
senders.

 
   You can also specify how strict you want the server-side,
   automatic junk mail filter to be in restriction unwanted emails
   from reaching your in box.
 
   Also, you can right-click on messages within your inbox to
   manually identify a junk sender, placing that address on the
   "block" list.

Unlike conventional email, ShadowOffice enables you to securely
send files by delivering messages with embeddeded, encrypted
links that are also password-protected.

Recipients receive the email, click on the link, input the password
and download the files.

Files are encrypted with asynchronous 128-bit triple-DES and synchronous AES encryption.
